This new little girl named Joan has been living with us for a while. While she was being created in my workshop, my daughter Hania and I named her Kornelia. However, when she was finished it turned out that she was not Kornelia, but Joan. Joan is very quiet and undemanding. She looks dreamily ahead and always seems to be deep in thought. She has asked me to make her a little backpack. Can she be thinking of going somewhere? I made Joan using a little different technique than with my other dolls. Her body is made of genuine leather. Her joints can move because of the screws placed inside. She can also move her head. As always, I used mainly natural materials: natural fleece, wool, cotton and leather. Some of her clothes are made of fabric, some with the felting technique, while others are knitted or crocheted. Her hair is made of mohair.
